nostalgia cycles through a looper pedal

since moving West, I continue to wax poetic about Sackville, and many struggle with an understanding beyond ‘huh’ … the heart of the town is captured in this video. i get stuck in the traps of nostalgia often, and Pat LePoidevin‘s tunes can often provide a moment of refocusing. maybe it’s the repetitive looper, or the lyrics, or the place-ing of his songs in the tiniest of moments.

in any case, the shape of the Sackville part of my heart was carved by the music of students like Pat, so enamoured by the support of a tiny town tucked in the dog-eared-corner pages of Maritime history.
